Are English Cream Golden Retrievers White
As we have already seen, English Cream Golden Retrievers have a much lighter coat than traditional Golden Retrievers.
Their coat color is paler than the solid gold of standard Golden Retrievers. Therefore, although people call them White Golden Retrievers, they are not pure white. Instead, their coat color ranges from a pale yellow to cream.
A Brief History On English Cream Golden Retrievers
Golden retrievers may sound like a single breed, but theyre split into two subtypes: American and English. American goldens and English goldens descended from English lines when imported from Canada, but the breed evolved and developed differently in America and Europe.
For example, English cream golden retrievers have a lighter, more white coat, a broader head, a stockier build, and a longer lifespan than their American counterparts. American golden retrievers are also more energetic and excitable than English cream golden retrievers.
But when did the golden retriever divide into American and English? You can trace it back to the late 1800s, after the labrador retriever was brought to Europe and began its import to the United States. Todays English cream golden retrievers are descendants of the gun dogs bred by Lord Tweedmouth in Scotland.
In 1868, Lord Tweedmouth mated a yellow wavy-coated retriever named Nous with a Tweed Water spaniel named Belle. Lord Tweedmouths goal was to produce a more robust dog than any other retriever that would be gentle and trainable.
In 1903, English cream golden retrievers were accepted for registration by The Kennel Club, but under the name Flat Coats: Golden. A few years later in 1911, they were officially recognized as part of the Retriever family and then were given its full name: the Golden Retriever.

How We Grow Up
Our dogs are part of our family, we raise them in our home .
We live on 5 acres in southern Indiana near a state forest and our little four-legged kiddos get to hike, swim, run and play every day.
We do most things with our dogs and they get to socialize / interact with many people of every age including small children.
The pups are also socialized with other animals like our older girl Kita and our cats.
What can we say but Puppies are Awesome. This is why we are breeding these wonderful dogs. We love on and play with them several times a day. And want to share this joy with you!
We prefer to feed and maintain the health of the doggies and puppies with Diamond Naturals Puppy food and we stay on top of their health with products from Revival Animal Health and a close relationship with our Veterinarian.
The puppies will also be microchipped so they can be returned home if they ever get separated from you.
We have the puppies up to date on all shots and deworming before they go home with you.
We also try to have them grass and potty pad acquainted by the time they are ready to go to their new Furever home.
We will send home the AKC registration packet, the Dam & Sires AKC Lineage, and a goodie basket with food for a few days, a blanket with mommies scent for comfort, a toy, and coupons for Royal Canin.

Origin Of Golden Retrievers
The first known Golden Retrievers came from Scotland in the mid-1800s. Baron Tweedmouth of Guisachan was one of the first breeders of this breed.
Another interesting aspect that we know is that the Golden Retriever was born from the crossing of two breeds. The two breeds were the Wavy Coated Retriever and the Tweed Water Spaniel, both extinct today. As a result of this crossbreeding, the first four puppies of traditional Golden Retrievers and English Cream Golden Retrievers were born.
The American line of Golden Retrievers first arrived from Canada. Although physical and genetic changes have occurred in the dog over the years, the original line remains intact. So when you hear American Golden Retriever or English Cream Golden Retriever, dont think they are two different breeds.
