We are a small hobby breeder of only this breed. We are located on over an acre of land in Southern California. Our goal is to breed for conformation, health, and temperment. For Conformation, we attend at least 2 shows a year and make sure our dogs are champions before they are bred. All Clearances and needed x-rays are done to produce the healthiest puppy possible. Our dogs also display affectionate and intelligent behavior as all Golden Retrievers should.
Our puppies are attended to 24/7. We love nothing more than tending to our puppies. All our dogs and puppies are fed high quality food including home-cooked meals. Before the pups are sent to their new owners, they are examined by a qualified professional at a top veterinary facility for health and conformation. Located in Mader County, Cal Creek takes care to breed quality Golden Retrievers in California. They only breed a couple of times a year and their waiting list fills up quickly. They show their dogs to champion level and enjoy showing with their handler and groomer. All dogs have their health clearances and Cal Creek is dedicated to improving the breed through good breeding. They research the pedigrees of their dogs and make sure the genetics are up to par with their high standards.
Currently, they have two females they breed and one male, however they have two more that will be ready for breeding after reaching two years old and passing their health checks. The puppies go to their new homes with the appropriate vaccines and are vet checked prior to leaving with their new families. After the birth of our English Cream, Golden Retriever puppies, each is weighed and monitored daily. We want each puppy to thrive and develop properly. Close attention is paid to the diet and the health of the mother. She is attended to several times a day.
We keep strict progress records and consistently compare the progress of the puppies with standards of compiled average data. We want the pups to grow, but not too fast, as complications in larger dogs are often the result of overfeeding or overly rigorous exercise. Goldens originated in Scotland in the 1860s, where they were superior hunting dogs at the Lord Tweedmouth estate. Lord Tweedmouth owned a Yellow Retriever and began a breeding program with a Tweed Water Spaniel. Todays Golden Retrievers are descended from Lord Tweedmouths dogs. The first Goldens were registered with the British Kennel Club in 1903 and the American Kennel Club in 1925.

We wish to Thank Dr Alexandra Karanpandiz and Djokic Zoran for allowing us the privilege to add this beautiful female to our breeding program. Her father, IntCH, HCh, CroCh, SkCH, MacCh, SrbCh, and SrbJCh Shamrock Stormy Skies, has multiple championships from many countries. Her mom is also a champion, so Margo has it in her blood. She has a fantastic pedigree from top show kennels in Europe, along with top health clearances and a great temperament. She is a fabulous mother and has such a loving warm temperament. She wiggles when she sees you and her pups have that same sunny disposition.. They also are very smart and learn fast.
