Differences From The Golden Golden Retriever
The Golden Retriever is regarded as a strong, solid dog that is lively and incredibly friendly. Like the White Goldens, the more traditionally colored Goldens are intelligent and loyal. However, Goldens differ from their light-colored, cream-colored counterparts in temperament category. While both shades are known for being friendly and good-natured, cream or white Goldens tend to be more laid back.

Light golden and golden shades are quite obvious and easy to spot, but dark brown golden retrievers can be easily confused with red.
Just to be clear, red in this case can be aptly described as deep mahogany.
A dark brown Golden Retrievers coat is a blend of specific shades of orange and yellow.
Red goldens trace their roots back to the Irish setter, whose original coat color is red.
Its not just the color that sets red goldens apart from the chocolate brown golden retriever there are also other slight variations when it comes to appearance.
All these differences explain why AKC has not registered this breed. Its significantly different from the American golden retrievers. The specified color spectrum is very strict.

About The Mini Golden Retriever
A miniature Golden Retriever is not the result of selecting all the runts in multiple litters to breed. The mini Golden Retriever is the result of a cross between Cocker Spaniels and Golden Retrievers to produce a dog that will be 20 to 24 inches tall and weigh 20 to 50 pounds. Sometimes breeders add the miniature Poodle to the cross and others use Poodles exclusively. The result is a hybrid that often has a finer coat than a purebred Golden and may have other personality quirks.

WalletHub released a list of the 100 best cities for our furry friends, and six of the countrys most pet-friendly cities are located in Florida! Tampa and Orlando took the lead in Floridas cities, ranking second and third overall.
Tampa
A Trust for Public Land study shows that Tampa has the fifth-highest number of dog parks per capita, with four dog parks per 100,000 residents. The city also has the 18th-highest number of dog-friendly restaurants, with 238. And, 65 out of every 10,000 establishments is pet-related. The city ranks in the top 35 for walkability.
St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg is also a great place for pets. SmartAsset ranks it as the seventh most pet-friendly city in the country. Like Tampa, the city ranks in the top 20 dog parks per capita, with 2.3 parks for every 100,000 residents.
St. Petersburg also has the third most pet businesses per capita. The city has a high concentration of pet stores and veterinary offices, with more than 85 of every 10,000 establishments being for pets. This is the sixth-highest among all U.S. cities.

The Golden Color And Shades
Another way golden retrievers can vary from each other is by color. Goldens are known for their luscious locks that come in various shades of luminous golden color.
There is very little color variation between goldens. Unlike the Labrador retriever, which comes in three very distinct colors, goldens tend to stay within a limited color spectrum.
When it comes to the American golden retriever, the AKC breed standard states that extremely pale and extremely dark colors are undesirable.
And while some goldens can come in other shades of gold, only three distinctive shades are recognized for showing.

This color spectrum is very strict, especially for show dogs. If a dog falls outside of a desirable color range, it cannot compete or be registered with the American Kennel Club.
At the same time, the British and Canadian Kennel Clubs accept more coat colors, including cream.
Despite the desirability of the gold color, some dogs fall outside of this range.
You can find golden retriever colors varying from pure white, mahogany, and dark brown, to red or even black! They are not as common, but they can be found.
Bear in mind that no Kennel Club permits red as a color, so red-coated golden retrievers cant compete in show rings.
But although they cant compete in shows, red goldens make good pets, just like all other types of golden retrievers.
The beauty of these colors is that they are hereditary.

The three different types of golden retrievers are the American golden retriever, the Canadian golden retriever, and the British or English golden retriever.

History Of Golden Retriever’s Puppies For Sale
Contrary to the popular belief that Golden Retrievers are descendants of Russian sheepdogs, they were bred in the Scottish Highlands by one Lord Dudley Majoribanks of Tweedmouth. These dogs were bred over 50 years during the mid-1800s to create the “perfect gundog” that could handle the rugged terrain of the area and the stormy weather conditions. A cross between Majoribanks’ yellow retriever and the now-extinct Tweed water spaniel, the Golden Retriever, was formed.
The Golden Retriever made its grand appearance at the 1908 British Dog Show. The Kennel Club in England finally recognized the Golden Retriever as its distinct breed only three years later, in 1911. However, at this time, the breed was categorized as “retriever – yellow or golden.” It was not until 1920 that the breed was officially named Golden Retriever. Over time, these pups made their way to Canada and later America, where the American Kennel Club recognized the breed in 1932. Their popularity has continued to soar over the years, as they have continued to hold their spot in the top 5 most popular dog breeds in various countries.
History Of Golden Retrievers
Goldens were originally bred in Scotland in the 19th century to serve as gun dogs and to retrieve shot waterfowl.
For centuries, people had only been able to hit game from a relatively short distance. But, as hunting technology and guns improved, the hunting style had to change and evolve too.
Since hunters could now shoot birds from further distances, the game fell further away and often ended in streams, rivers, or ponds.
The retriever dogs of that time were not bred to tackle these new challenges. While they could collect game, they couldnt find the downed game at a distance the new guns could reach.
They also could not retrieve game from lakes or rivers.
So, breeders needed to create a new dog.
Dudley Marjoribanks, the first Lord of Tweedmouth, took on the challenge. He crossed a yellow-colored retriever, named Nous with a Tweed Water Spaniel female dog, called Belle.
The Tweed water spaniel is now an extinct breed but was then very common in Scotland.
The resulting litter had four puppies.
Those four puppies became the foundation of a breeding program, which also included a bloodhound, an Irish setter, the St. Johns water dog of Newfoundland, and two wavy-coated black retriever dogs.
Tweedmouth wanted to create a more athletic and powerful breed than previous retrievers that would still be highly trainable and mellow.
His retriever dogs instinctively loved the water but also had a thick and fluffy double-coat to keep them warm.

History Of The White Golden Retriever
It is well known that the Golden breeds have roots in Europe and Scotland as far back as the late 1860s. Goldens were originally breed by a British Aristocrat, Lord Tweedmouth, who mixed a yellow-colored Retriever with a Tweed Water Spaniel. Today, the Tweed Water Spaniel breed is extinct, but they were previously known for being enthusiastic retrievers used for hunting and calm, loyal dogs in the home. Their descendants continue to hold these characteristics. Though this cross breeding is where the Golden Retriever originated, there are now various colors of Retrievers that stem from this common ancestor.
