So How Much Is A Golden Retriever Puppy

Rescue a Golden Retriever!

The price of a Golden Retriever puppy depends on few factors like lineage and bloodlines, coat color, age, etc.

Generally, the price of a Golden Retriever puppy range from $300-3000. Puppies on the lower end of this scale tend to be from less reliable and unscrupulous breeders. These people dont care about the dogs health, they only care for profit.

Puppies from such breeders tend to have serious health and behavioral issues as they were not cared for properly. There was, also, no control and selection of parents before breeding to ensure the best genetic material is transferred to the offspring. Therefore, Golden Retriever puppies from puppy mills will be susceptible to many health issues. The most common health issues are cancer, hip and elbow dysplasia, and eye disorder.

On the other hand, a puppy from a reputable breeder will cost around $1000. However, this will be a strong, healthy puppy with good lineage. The breeder will provide all the necessary tests and health checkups of the puppy and both parents. If you want to buy a Golden Retriever puppy, buy it from a reputable breeder that actually cares for them and their well-being.;

Remember, buying from a reputable breeder, promotes the responsible breeding practice and improves the overall health of the Golden Retriever breed.

Partnering With Goldens Without Borders Rescue

We’ve been asked to help four Labrador Retrievers who have been saved from a slaughterhouse in China by the Goldens Without Borders Rescue . Upon GWB’s arrival at the slaughterhouse, they discovered many Labrador Retrievers were there in addition to the Golden Retrievers they had been expecting. It didn’t take them long to realize they could not leave them behind.; This decision exponentially increased the costs and resources of GWB which is why they reached out to fellow dog rescue groups such as ours for assistance. After some discussion, the board unanimously agreed to help GWB with this rescue endeavor which means these four dogs were able to hitch a ride to the states with their fellow rescued canines and they are now looking for their forever homes.

Top 5 Rescue Goldendoodles For Adoption Puppies / Retired

June 7, 2020 by Garrett

To be honest, there arent many rescue Goldendoodles for adoption because they are a very popular dog breed. However, thats not to say there is never any rescue Goldendoodles for adoption. In fact, there are a lot of Goldendoodle rescues throughout the United States for several reasons and many pet owners put their puppy, adult, or retired Goldendoodle up for adoption for various reasons.

Below is the most comprehensive list of various places that you can either adopt a retired Goldendoodle or find a Goldendoodle puppy to adopt.

What To Expect From Golden Retriever Rescue Centers

When you head to a golden retriever rescue center, expect to find a range of dogs that are identifiable as golden retrievers or golden retriever mixed breeds.

They will range in age from puppies to mature dogs and will have different levels of training and socialization.

The rescue center will provide the dogs with medical care, shelter, and training, and at the same time, look for suitable homes for each dog.

Expect the rescue center to ask you a number of questions to ensure you are ready to adopt a golden retriever. They will work with you and consider:

  • Whether your lifestyle will permit you to care for and spend quality time with a pet?
  • Whether you are prepared for the financial burden of caring for a dog for the next 10-15 years, including food, veterinary bills, and so forth?
  • Whether you have the facilities to keep a large dog like a golden retriever?

If you are a suitable candidate, they will then work with you to find the most suitable dog from the shelter for you to adopt.

Dont worry; rescues will not place dangerous dogs, such as dogs that bite, in your home.

PRO TIP: If youre looking to adopt a Golden Retriever then you might want to talk to breeders. A reputable breeder will require the people who buy their puppies to return them if for any reason they are unable to continue caring for them. Reputable breeders will sometimes have dogs they are willing to adopt out.

Without further adieu. Heres our list of Golden Retriever rescues by state:

The story begins years ago when GRRoW began to consider international rescue. In 2020, during a pandemic, we shared the experience with eight other rescues to bring 100 dogs to the U.S. from China. You can learn through the stories, of Sydney, Wendy, Wang Wang, Bei Bei, Bobby and Sunny that these dogs now have a second chance with new owners who are lucky to add them to their lives. Their owners and fosters are thrilled for the opportunity to experience something special and positive during such negative times.

GRRoW thanks the donors, fosters, fundraisers, transporters, coordinators, dog advocates and cheerleaders for these dogs. In this time of uncertainty, one thing is for certain: these dogs that came into GRROW are in their happy place.

International rescue is not for everyone, and we at GRRoW understand that. We continue to be available for EVERY dog that comes into our area. However, our adoption list continues to get longer. Our adoptions are occasionally closed due to the long wait.

We will continue to look at international options. We invite your support for our efforts by starting an international fund to use when these dogs become available to rescue. We have a generous donor who was so moved by the experience with the China dogs, he started the seed to start the international account. Please consider this option in choosing how your donation dollars are spent.
