Carmel Bliss Golden Retrievers has two sites, One in Dallas, Texas, and the other in Casper, Wyoming. They are happy to meet out-of-state clients. Theyll at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport or the Denver International Airport. Theyll make traveling with a puppy as a carry-on at your feet a breeze. Thursdays, 2-4 pm are the official office hours.
They are a small breeder. Theyre dedicated to creating healthy, talented, and athletic Golden Retrievers. They are capable of adapting to any situation. Hunters, service dogs, therapy dogs, and beloved family members are past puppies.
The Goldens they use for breeding has undergone extensive genetic and orthopedic testing. Their pups are OFA and/or Pennhip certified. They also test for cleared hips, heart, elbows, and eyes.
As well as complete Paw Print Genetics, Royal Canin Health Analysis, or Embark genetic profiles. The results, as well as links to their dogs pedigrees, youll find in the profiles on the websites.
Reputable Golden Retriever Breeders Get Health Clearances
The Golden Retriever Club Of America requires that any member of the GRCA use the GRCA Code Of Ethics as a guideline for breeding. Therefore, Reputable Texas Golden Retriever puppy breeders have tested sires and dams for hips, elbows, heart and eye disease. The tests included are for hip/elbow dysplasia, heart disease such as subvalvular aoertic stenosis and inherited eye disorders. Board Certified Orthopedists evaluate the Hip and Elbow radiographs. Additionally, a Board Certified Canine Ophthalmologist exams the eyes. Last but not least, a Board Certified Canine Cardiologist exams the Heart.

Lacy was imported from Ukraine from the impressive Tramin line. She is AKC registered, 100% English Cream and has extensive championship bloodlines. She has a beautiful wavy thick coat and a playful personality and weighs around 60 pounds. She is great around kids and is a great family companion. She has excellent hips and elbow , and clear heart and eye tests . She also has been genetically tested and is PRA 1& 2 clear as well as ICT clear so her pups will not be affected .
White Stone Delta “Delta”
Delta came to us from White Stone Goldens in New York and is our youngest family member. She lives in the Heights with her host mom, Claire, and gets to visit often. Delta loves to swim and is full of energy . She also just love everyone. This beautiful dog comes from champion bloodlines and has all of her health clearances . An Exception To The Rule During This Covid
A reputable breeder may breed a dog or a bitch with OFA Hip/Elbow preliminary certificates. All that means is that the animal was not 24 months of age when the test was performed . In that case they will have a report from the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals for hips and elbows which is graded personally by Dr Keller who is the head Radiologist of OFA. These reports are extremely reliable with regards to OFA Grades of Fair, Good and Excellent and given the potential issue with exposure to radiation associated with X-rays, we have no issue with using preliminary OFA findings of at least a Fair, Good or Excellent.
Therefore, request copies of the OFA hip, elbow, heart and eye clearances for the sire and dam of any litter or puppy that is offered for sale. A reputable Golden Retriever breeder will be able to produce the OFA certificates or reports from a board certified radiologist, board certified cardiologist and a board certified ophthalmologist.
