How To Feed Puppy Formula To Your Newborn Puppy
Once you have figured out the formula, you need to think about how youre going to get the formula into the puppy. The best way is to use a bottle.
The size of the nipple would depend on the breed and size of the puppers.
The nipple for a Golden Retriever puppy, for example, is going to be far too big for a Chihuahua. For tiny little puppy babies you might want to invest in a bottle designed specifically for feeding tiny little animal babies, or, if youre on a budget, a syringe will do as well.
Once you have your formula and bottle ready, the next very important thing to pay attention to is feeding the puppy SLOWLY. The hole in the nipple should be big enough for the thick formula to drip out, but it should do so very slowly. The same goes for feeding with a syringe.
The last thing you want is for the pupper to get a bunch of formula in its lungs! Pups can also get formula in their lungs from not suckling in the right position, so make sure they are lying on their bellies with the bottle just a little higher.
Eight Week Old Baby Golden Retriever

They will be fully weaned, have basic potty and crate training, and have experienced a good amount of socialization.

Golden Retriever Puppy Waking At Night
Another problem that a lot of new puppy owners experience is night time waking.
There are a number of reasons puppies wake at night. They may be scared, in pain, or hungry.
Puppies may also wake at night because they are lonely and want attention, or because they need the toilet.
For the first few nights after you bring them home, keep your Goldens crate by your bed. This will reduce the risk of them waking out of fear and loneliness because they will see you and know they arent alone.
Puppies will need the toilet through the night when they first come home. So, if you arent using puppy pads, youll need to take them outside throughout the night to pee.
Try not to make nighttime trips out to the toilet too exciting. Otherwise, your puppy may start waking up and crying for your attention.
