Whether theyre playing tug-of-war, shaking their prey, or making this snake squeak, dogs of all sizes adore this stuffing-free plush dog toy. Dura-Tuff inner lining stands strong against pointy teeth this toy tested reasonably well in our review, below.

Verified review: Skye our German shepherd immediately bit the snake and got so excited to hear one of the six squeakers squeak back! Skye has the ability to pop tennis balls in about 30 seconds of chewing, and squeaker toys are usually not durable enough to prevent her from ripping out the squeaker quickly! To my surprise, her bites were not enough to puncture the outer lining of the snake! The volume of the squeakers was also not unreasonably loud.

One of Skyes favorite things to do with toys is tug. When we played, I noticed the toy is definitely not something I would consider weak, as it held up to Skyes death grip. After I gave up , Skye happily took it back to her bed to begin her work of trying to pop the squeakers.

The claim of this product is the invincible squeaker, and while Skye gave it a run for its money, after about 24 hours the invincible squeakers were not so invincible anymore. When I picked up the toy, the squeakers felt like crushed soda cans. I could hear the rattling on the inside of the actual squeaker. She had broken it loose, and thus, no more squeaks!

Verified review: I liked the different textures and thicknesses the dragon had throughout its body, I think it kept Enzo entertained longer. Enzo had his eyes glued to it when he first saw it because of all the limbs the dragon had it is not a boring looking toy. However, the material didnt seem that thick and durable, it was thinner than expected. Enzo loved this toy and paraded it around our apartment, running up and down the hallway with it. I loved how it had a squeaker and also had a different body shape than more mainstream toys, but Enzo destroyed the toy pretty quickly, he ripped the nose open and swallowed the nostril. He loved it, but ultimately it was too easy to rip into, likely due to the thinner fabric selection.

Update 3/24/2021: In spite of its initial bruising, we checked in with our tester to see how the toy held up over a year later, and heres what she reported: The dragon held up better in the long run, hes a super chewer and still loves it, even though its pretty beat up now.

In 2020, we achieved the milestone of replacing 90% of the virgin polyester used in IKEA textile products and will accelerate the transformation towards the aim of only using recycled polyester throughout the product range.

Virgin Vs Recycled Polyester

Originally, all polyester was made from oil-based raw materials which are not renewable, but we are switching to only using recycled polyester. The good thing is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities. When we make products from recycled polyester, we give a second life to material that is not biodegradable and would otherwise end up in landfill or the ocean. Instead, PET bottles and other sources of polyester are used to make textiles, storage boxes, kitchen fronts and even lamps. Recycled polyester is just as good as virgin polyester in terms of looks, quality and function but requires less than half the energy to produce and lowers CO2 emissions by up to 50%. And the material is just as clean and safe in every way.

Verified review: I thought the toy looked great and Ginger was excited about it. I like that it didnt have super obvious squeakers so Ging didnt really squeak it that much. I like that it had the shaker in the nose so its a quieter toy. It turns out I didnt like the product. It didnt last more than two hours with Ging playing with it on and off. She exposed a weak point in the stitching and ripped everything out including one of the squeakers. The product was actually disappointing. Ive had toys of Gings for more than a year and this was probably the second fastest that shes ever completely destroyed a toy. The squeaker was too easy to get to once the toy was opened which isnt very safe for dogs as a possible choking hazard.

History Of Golden Retrievers

The most important name in the early history of the Golden Retriever is Dudley Marjoribanks, the first Lord Tweedmouth, who developed the breed in the Scottish Highlands during the reign of Victoria. For the 50 years between 1840 and 1890, Tweedmouth kept scrupulous records of breedings effected to create an ideal gundog for use at his Guisachan estate in the Highlands, Inverness-shire, Scotland. Tweedmouth wanted a dog suited to the rainy climate and rugged terrain of the area, so he crossed his Yellow Retriever with a breed that is now extinct, the Tweed Water Spaniel. Irish Setter and Bloodhound were also added to the mix.

Through several generations of clever breeding, an admiring historian wrote, Tweedmouth created a consistent line of exceptional working retrievers. With a little more refinement after Tweedmouths time, the Golden Retriever came forth as an enduring gift to dogkind from a hunt-happy aristocrat.

The Golden was first seen at a British dog show in 1908, and good specimens of the breed began arriving in America, by way of Canada, at about the same time. Sport hunters appreciated the breeds utility, show fanciers were enthralled by their beauty and dash, and all were impressed by the Goldens sweet, sensible temperament.

The Golden was popular from the beginning of its American history, but the breeds popularity really took off in the 1970s, the era of President Gerald Ford and his beautiful Golden named Liberty.
